Teeth Whitening

Some in-chair whitening can be accomplished in a lunch hour and most in-home whitening kits will produce rapid whitening results in a few days time. Even teeth that have yellowed with age or show coffee, red wine, or smoking stains will usually respond well to whitening treatments.

Your Central Dental dentist has extensive experience with in-chair whitening and will assure that your teeth are whitened to the perfect shade, complementing and brightening your natural enamel colour.

For the very best results, we recommend a full dental clean before your whitening.

Home whitening kit

Your Central Dental dentist will first check your teeth to ensure you are a suitable candidate for teeth whitening. If all is well, an impression of your teeth will be taken, which are then sent to our lab, where whitening trays are created that will fit your mouth exactly.

At your next appointment, the dentist will show you how to use your home-whitening kit and will explain of often to use it. Generally, you will apply the whitening gel daily, over 10-14 days, leaving it on for 3 to 4 hours at a time until you achieve the desired shade.

We encourage you to ask any questions about your in-home whitening kit when you receive it and at any time throughout your treatment period.
In-chair teeth whitening

After ensuring you are a suitable teeth whitening candidate, your Central Dental dentist will begin your whitening process by carefully putting in place a rubber dam or special trays, plus padding to protect all the soft tissues in and around your mouth. Once this is done, your dentist will paint your teeth with a whitening gel and then expose your teeth to a UV light to activate the chemicals in the gel and speed up the whitening reaction.

The in-chair teeth whitening process is completed in three 15-minute sessions for a total of 45 minutes.

Smile Makeover
A smile is pleasing because the shape and colour of the teeth and line of the gums follow certain ‘aesthetic rules’ we all recognize. When the elements of your smile are at odds with your natural aesthetics, it detracts from your smile and can affect your self-confidence.

At Central Dental, our team of dental experts will evaluate your smile detractors and recommend treatments that can reconstruct your smile to its most appealing through veneers, crowns, braces, or gum re-contouring – or an effective combination of treatments.
